

Collecting Small Joys 3Eyes aglow with intensity, teeth gritted in anticipation, Sweat pouring from his brow, he makes his move. His fatal mistake. His bellicose maneuver has cost him his life, leaving his flank unguarded. Immediately he recognizes his folly, but alas, a moment too late. I pounce on his weakness, like a lion on the Savannah, culling the weak, attack with vigor and agility. Methodically breaking him down as he attempts to keep the tide of white at bay. But try as he might, my advance, my inevitable, unstoppable, inexorable advance leave him decimated. As I stand in triumph, after I land the final blow, I gently whisper,Collecting Small Joys 3

Gnarled old tress, Gaea's green hands reaching up to grasp the skies. Dewy little blades of grass, swaying to a tune all their own. Whimsical cotton clouds, shaded gray by the night. On, and what a night is is. Burning points of starry light glow against the backdrop of the dark, the ever present, all consuming, primal dark. There I lay, back to the grass, eyes to the stars. My breathing becomes the rhythm of my mind. Legs folded, one in the other, my mind floats free.
Then the water begins to flow, First a trickle, then a drip. Slowly becoming. A stream. My stream. The stream of consciousness.
The rampaging fires of daily life, daily pain, daily stress are quenched. Drowned out by the calm The cerulean tide encompasses, envelops all the world.
Then it settles. The raging torrent becomes a tranquil ocean. And I have found it. My private, personal, perfect, peac
